I thought it made sense so long as you allowed for certain things not having to make sense in dreams. As a depressed, rejected, crushed dreamer's vision of how things should have gone warped into a nightmare about how they did go, I thought it made perfect sense.
I don't even think complicated interpretations are necessary beyond that point, because pretty much everything can be accounted for with that reading, but I could be wrong. It certainly is fun to talk about!
You know as much as I want to piece things together, I thoroughly enjoyed watching the movie just to watch and pick up on cool images and dialogue and such. I just like to feel smart if I can figure things out. I also worry that the Cowboy might be a red herring, sent to wreck my mind. At any rate, congrats on your film as well Angelo, I especially loved the entire painting sequence, good work!

Don't play it for real until it gets real.
I'm actively resisting reading those clues! I'm happy with my own interpretation. :)
Their interpretation coddles my need to know what's inside of the blue box. Yours makes me accept my own ignorance. :p

...Actually, I still don't understand the Cowboy, except that he was present when her soul was crushed in public.
